meet our staff

Our staff supports the participation of our individuals in activities such as shopping, banking, public transportation, hygiene, cleaning, using library services, parenting education, drug, and alcohol addiction, application, resume, interview processes, and volunteering in their community while building towards futures of greater independence. 

Marvina thomas

Administrator and Founder

Marvina Thomas, who is a former registered nurse, is the Founder and Administrator of Trinity Care Services.  She moved to the Phoenix area approximately 25 years ago from her home in Los Angeles, CA and began her mission in being a ministry of health.  Marvina has been helping the homeless via her group homes, Start Living Inc. since 2003 and decided to go further in her ministry by opening Trinity Care Services, in 2019, to further help the homeless and those battling substance abuse and other behavioral health issues. She strives to help men and women get off the streets and off deadly alcohol and opioids and prides herself in not only helping individuals gain and maintain their sobriety, but helping them with job placement and other skills to assist them in re-entering society as sober and functional citizens.

Aline Rincon

Receptionist & Administrative Assistant

  

  

Aline Rincon and her beautiful smile will greet you when visiting Trinity Care Services.  Aline is the receptionist, but does so much more including handling admissions, performing drug analysis, giving breathalizer tests, and routing all phone calls. She is a native to the United States, but spent some of her younger years living in Mexico. She is the mother to one little girl and strives daily to achieve great things.

Clinical Supervisor

LeKeshia Mathis, LMSW is a native of North Carolina, who relocated and joined the Trinity family in July of 2020. She has been working in the behavioral health and social work field since 2013. She obtained her Bachelor’s in Social Work from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington and her Master’s in Social Work from the University of New England. Following this, she obtained her Master’s in Psychology with a specialization in Applied Behavioral Analysis from Capella University. She received her provisional clinical license in 2020.  Mrs. Mathis has worked 6 years in the Child Protective Service field as a lead investigator, worked 2 years as a Director of Day Treatment for Children and Adolescents.  Currently she is working towards her Doctorate in Social Work and is anticipated to graduate in 2023. Additionally, she is certified in  Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, is a Certified Domestic  Violences Specialist I, and a Certified Parenting Intstuctor.  In her free time, Mrs. Mathis enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband, three children, dog and cat.


As the Clinical Supervisor at Trinity Care Services, she is responsible for the oversight of the entire program, as well as ensuring the developments and implementations of treatment plans and services. She enjoys working with the various populations and aiding individuals  in overcoming their addictions and helping them re-enter into society as sober and functional member

David Mason

Case Manager

 David received his Bachelor's of Science in Psychology degree and is currently working towards his Masters in Mental Health Counseling.  He has experience in the behavioral health field with many different populations over many years.  


He works closely with his clients to meet their needs to ensure they can fully engage in their treatment program.  His goal is to help his clients to maintain a life of sobriety and positive mental health.



Irene garcia

Substance Abuse Counselor

  

Irene graduated from Phoenix College with two Associates Degrees. One being an Associates of Arts degree and the other an Associates of Science degree in Administration of Justice.  She then graduated from Western International University with a Bachelor's of Arts in Behavioral Science, followed by a Master's Degree in Human Dynamics. 

Being an Arizona native, she enjoys walks during our cooler weather and enjoys volunteering and ladybugs.


As a counselor at Trinity Care Services, Irene is responsible for managing an assigned caseload of adults diagnosed with substance use disorders.  She assesses client needs, develops, implements, and reviews service plans, and works with all of Trinity Care Services staff and other community resources in meeting/achieving client service needs.  Develops and updates the client’s treatment plan. Provides individual counseling sessions with each client. Irene finds her work with the clients to be both fulfilling and enjoyable.

Clinical Facilitator

  

  

Marcia obtained both her Master’s and Bachelor's Degrees of Science in Addiction Counseling from Ottawa University. She also holds an Associates in Paralegal with Distinction from Rio Salado College. Marcia has worked with all populations in her field to include: children, young adults, adults and seniors. Marcia’s career and diverse background bring a lot of experience to Trinity. 

While Facilitating TCS substance abuse classes, she utilizes her knowledge and experience in trauma focused care, Motivational Interviewing, DBT and Psychoeducation in the classroom.  


Marcia has one child, is from California, and is currently learning how to paddleboard.  She is compassionate about her love for people and thrives on helping others reach their true purpose in life and master their true potential in recovery.

Michael Hernandez is a very special member of the Trinity Care Services team as he is also a graduate of our program! Michael, with the support he received from Trinity, was able to get his GED and Peer Support Certificate. He says his life is better today and he continues to reach for new goals without his former addictions in his way.

Salem Bell

Substance Abuse Counselor

  

  

Currently attending Glendale Community College, Salem is working towards her goal of becoming a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She worked in a group home for individuals with severe mental illness and found her passion for behavioral health.  Phoenix is her place of birth and where she was raised. She collects antique porcelain dolls and plays the electric guitar. Her and her long term partner have one cat that is their whole world. 


Starting out as a Case Manager, Salem was thrilled with the opportunity to become a Substance Abuse Counselor. She says she dreamed of helping people and is thankful to her clients for letting her live that dream every day.
